National 119 Rescue Headquarters buys two H225 helicopters

Airbus Helicopters has won a contract to supply two extra H225 helicopters to South Korea’s National 119 Rescue Headquarters.

The National 119 Rescue Headquarters currently operates an all-Airbus helicopter fleet, comprising two AS365 N2s and two H225s. This new purchase will bring its fleet to six helicopters by the end of 2019.

The agency, which is South Korea’s primary provider of firefighting and rescue services, will use the two H225 helicopters for search and rescue missions, with the flexibility to reconfigure them to accommodate fire-fighting and emergency medical services equipment.
