Inaugural flight for the first Super Lynx Brazilian helicopter undergoing modernisation

The first of eight Brazilian Navy Super Lynx Mk21B helicopters undergoing a modernization program has today made its inaugural flight to the Leonardo da Vinci plant in Yeovil, in southwest England.

The changes introduced on the Brazilian Lynx will enable the customer to gain greater capacity, better performance and greater operational efficiency.

The Super Lynx Mk21B comes with two new generation CTS800-4N engines, already used on the Super Lynx 300 and AW159 helicopters, which provide a remarkable boost in performance, particularly in warm environments, increasing the payload and efficiency of missions.
