The Ansat light multi-purpose helicopter has been certified for operation under extremely high temperatures by Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency, Rostec announced on 29 May.
Ansat’s serviceability under extremely high temperatures was tested in Pakistan in 2017. The ground and flight tests confirmed that all systems and components of the helicopter work as normal at air temperatures of up to +50° Celsius. This new certification is an extension of the vehicle’s previous operational temperature range.
In 2017, Ansat was also certified for operation under extremely low temperature (up to -45° Celsius) following tests held in Yakutia.
